Documenting Film Production Through Drawing Across France
Karolina Dema was commissioned by Fab Fixers to document filming sets across France through a series of original drawings, combining on-location illustration with visual storytelling.

The production journey spanned multiple iconic locations, including an interview of President Macron in the Elysée Presidential Palace in Paris, the Pont du Gard Roman aqueduct in the South of France, the lavender fields of Provence, the Normandy coastline, and the Trocadéro Esplanade facing the Eiffel Tower.
Positioned at the intersection of art and media production, this work explores how editorial illustration can complement traditional photography and video. Each drawing documents a film crew in action, highlighting gestures, environments, and behind-the-scenes moments that are often missed by standard production imagery.
